Plotworks

Kitchen Civils were awarded the contract in 2019 to build 350 plots at Harland Way in Cottingham, due to their exceptional performance for the client on previous schemes.
The scheme is part of the East Riding of Yorkshires build programme and includes around 90 social housing plots to stimulate growth in the region.
Kitchen Civils also achieved superb NHBC CQR ratings in 2020, achieving the highest mark of 6 in Foundations, Sub-Structure, Drainage, Surface Finishes and External Works.

Scope of Works

  • 350 New Plots – a mixture of standard masonry and timber frame housing
  • Foundations – mixture of strip and trench fill foundations
  • Masonry – Blockwork to DPC, Facing Brickwork and Retaining Walls to full height
  • Ground Floor Slab – Mixture of Block and Beam and Suspended Slab,
  • Drainage – full internal and external drainage package
  • Services – installation of ducting, house and plot connections
  • External Works – paving, installation of driveways, surfacing, block paving to driveways, topsoiling and gravel margin
  • Handover – on each site we have a dedicated CML gang to achieve the highest standard on each plot.
